I need to back up on a daily basis 120 gigs. I just need to know a scci system or what ever system or tape that wont be outdated to soon.
Our current backup drive crashed and the tapes for it are ancient.

I can understand why they are ancient if you're using backupexec 8.6. I would recommend upgrading to 10D first and foremost. If you're backing up that much data and you want to use tapes, you're going to need a robotic tape library or a fat single drive in which the tapes are going to be VERY expensive. Another consideration is to use a couple of external hard drives that you can swap out every day and take offsite in case of fire.
Here is a link to a nice big tape drive that should have you covered for a while, depending on how fast you create new data.
