It could be your frame of mind at the time. I've found Sydney Australia just the same.
As long as yourself are happy, everywhere is interesting
Hmm... I don't like santiago either, but I don't think it's boring... there are a lot of things to do there and a lot of places to visit so I'd say you just had bad luck... anyhow... in summer, santiago is not the best place to be, since everybode tries to escape from the city and go somewhere else...
u missed things. it can be very exciting, but like a lot of other places, you gotta know where to go (and if you have someone to go with, even better!). it's not buenos aires, but it holds its own
I also find it not that interesting. I don't think you missed much, but boring really is a relative term!
Well, it certainly isn't Paris or New York. But I found Santiago to be a nice "little" metropoli. Its people are for sure its strongest feature. Walking around the downtown area was interesting and also the Paris Londres area is nice, eating at the Mercado Central was amazing, Bellavista an Las Condes are good areas to hand out at night, museums are pretty decent, people have lots of knowledge so it's nice to have a chat with them, wine touring (or even trying wines within Santiago) is a good option too. This is just what came into my mind right now, there are many other things to do.
I love Santiago. The food is great the people are amazing and there is a lot to do and see. Sometimes you need to go off the beaten path and get to know the people and the culture. Having said that, I perfer the chilean small towns...
there's nothing to miss in santiago...
