Is it possible to visit Bubiyan Island?

I've been in Kuwait for so many years [since I was raised here]. . . I was wondering if it's possible to visit that place. I've seen it lately from Google Earth & it's beautiful. Or is it only for an environmental study . . Like only for a shipping port? By BaByb3aRG'day BaBy3Rar,

Thank youf for your question.

Only if you join the Kuwaiti military or Government it seems.

Bubiyan Island (Arabic: جزيرة بوبيان‎)is the largest island in the Kuwaiti coastal island chain with an area of 863 km². It is linked to the mainland by a concrete bridge which is for military use only. During the Persian Gulf War of 1991 the bridge was destroyed but has been rebuilt.

There are also environmental projects underway on the island. Sovereignty over the island has been a contested issue with Iraq. For those reasons, access to the island is restricted.

I have attached sources for your reference.
