In control panel go to regional and language tab select your country in General in Advance go to detail select Install East language Korea Japan now you should add your country and your language in Add tab but these steps need your Win CD .

You would need the Japanese language set for Word.
go to Microsoft japan website and than open your office 2000 you won't be regretted..
