The new version of Windows is called Vista and you can get an evaluation demo version from the site below. Its the "Get Windows Vista RC1" link.

It is not out yet i come out next year its called Windows Vista.
RC1 out at the moment being reviewed by 40,000 in the trade, not very good at pres, you want a quick insight go to www,cnet
Microsoft Vista won't be available till January but I really wouldn't bother yet. Even with delays and testing they are talking about issuing a service pack, it will come in 3 different flavours and the basic doesn't even have the features that XP does. It is a resource hog being a huge programme that requires a heavy duty PC but if you have a dual core CPU it can have advantages when specific software has been written for it.
Personally I would wait till the end of next year and get the XP Service Pack 3 which should be out in June 2007 which will include a lot of the Vista features at a price even Bill Gates could afford.
