Latin America is the Spanish speaking countries that are in the American continent such as Mexico and all the rest of them south of the border.
It refers to the Latin populated or Spanish speaking countries of North and South America. Latin America is not a continent. The question should be "if Mexico is in North America are Mexicans considered Americans"? The majority here in the U.S. will say, No Way.
In every country in Africa we call their people Africans, in Europe they are Europeans, in Asia they are Asians and so on. Everyone who lives in North or South America are Americans.
It's Central and South America!
regarding other answers, it depends really. some of us don't think mexicans can be considered actual latino types.
latin america includes brazil.
hispanoamérica doesn't.
USA is not America. It's located in America.Everyone from Alaska to Chile are Americans because we live in the continent called America. If Mexicans live in America....Don't think that only white people are Americans. If you don't believe this just visit an Indian reservation and ask them who the real Americans are
