Salzburg - the Mondsee lake (a nice paddle/motorboat ride), Halstatt Ice Caves, Mirabell Gardens, the city
stay in the Salzkammergut region and make a trip to Mondsee (the lake) where you can go boating, water-sporting, trekking, etc... you will most definitely have the chance to get a cable car to the top of the alps.. and make sure u visit the Salzkammergut salt factory, along with the Hallstatt Ice Caves.. these are not to be missed, as without the same, you'll be wasting your trip to Austria.
You can also see Mozart's birthplace, the town itself is nice..
also, when outside vienna, make sure you stay in a "gasthof" and not a hotel - these are austrian cottages converted to guesthouses, and are much friendlier, cleaner, cheaper and comfortable than hotels. you will find that breakfast will always be included (if its not, get it...), which is a must have while in austria Other Answer
the whole town is beautiful.
there´s a castle (dont remember the name) and in summer time they perfom opera..is beautiful..
