What are the things to do in Champs Elysees, Paris.?

Things to do, watch, not to miss, etc. Planning to go there in June. By money_manChamps Elysees is just one street. It has all the shops you could possibly want, and is topped off with the Arc of Triumph.

There is also the worlds best mcDonalds!
...But what do they call a Whopper? :o>

(Please take me with you. Pleeeez.)
The main thing to do is see the Arc de Triomphe. The tomb of France's Unknown Soldier is underneath it. There is a great view from on top of the arc. The tourist office is (as I recall) opposite McDonalds, so you can get some more good ideas there.
the Champs Elysees is just an area but you can go to loads of places in paris from there. There is the music festival in paris on 21st june and the cinema festival some time in june. Paris is full of interesting things. You can go for lovely walks and visit loads of museums in paris. I would advise you to buy a good programme with all the events such as exhibitions and concerts...
There is a french song telling:
A MIDI OU A MINUIT,AU SOLEIL OU SOUS LA PLUIE
IL Y AS TOUT-CE QUE VOUS VOUDREZ AU CHAMPS ELYSEES.
It means that in the midlle of the day or of the night you can find everything you want on the Champs Elysees.
That's up to you to find if it's just a song.
Bon voyage,however.
the champs-elysees is a place for banlieusard rubbish to gather (like a 2nd Les Halles). walk it once, it's dirty, full of tourists, **** american shop invasion, a (!) psg store (rubbish team, i know) and whole lots of things you can just find on rue de rennes or around opera or whatever.

you could want to go to man ray, la suite, le VIP, l'etoile, maxim's, duplex which are all in the general area. and, of course, aesthetically, the run down from concorde to the arc de triomphe is well worth while. parisians (the rive gauche ones) don't like the place.
Champs Elysees is a place to be seen at by other people and to see other people strolling by, as you sip a coffee on the promenade. Basically, you get a feel of metropolitan nature of Paris as a city, Champs Elysees being a microcosm of general atmosphere of the city. Get a meal at Planet Hollywood, buy a perfume from Sephora and have a coffee by the promanade.

Best would be to walk from Place de la Concorde to Arc de Triumph on one side and go back the other side.
