What is the best way to go around Macau if you only have 1 day to spend there?

Please give me the details and how to get there. I'll be coming from Hong Kong and wold wish to spend only a day in Macau. A little gambling would not be too bad to include. By mranderse...I have visited Macau 2 months ago. Practically compact Macau sightseeing can be done in 1 day.

Do visit the signature landmark - The St Paul ruins, good for picture taking。The Senado Square , around St Paul area offers a lot of different shops, restaurant and souvenirs. Alot of new casinos are being built. I went to old Lisboa Casinos, nothing much . However I missed the opportunity to visit 'Sands' Casinos, seems to be larger and newer casinos in town. There are quite alot of attractions in Macau, but I only have half day to spend there.

I went to eat in a Portuguese restaurant suggested by the hotel manager - Solmar. Not bad you can try.

The other thing that I love was the local produces e.g. almond biscuit and portuguese tarts. I bought alot of this snacks and took home for enjoyment.

Macau used Patacas currency though they accept HK dollar .

By the way, the ferry cost about HKD 150 one way between HK-Macau.

In any case if you are departing using Macau International Airport, if possible don't eat at the airport foodcourt. I had the worst wanton noodle in my life. The foodcourt attendant weren't friendly either.

I had used to live in Macau for over 5 years, now days macau is quite different than before, airport and lots of massive cassinos, try to go to the portugal town, u see very different side of macau this part u would find europe portogual style house, and building. then visit casino would be u good day to call off.
