The word 'Trinidad' was coined as the name for the island discovered by Christopher Columbus ...
and as history told us he was an explorer who when he saw the three peaks of the Southern Range on the island he decided to name the island in honour of the Trinity (Catholic reference to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit).
