I went to club med in corsica, It was really really nice. Very very expensive for my parents i'm sure, but nice none the less. The rest of the island as far as i remember (was a while ago) wasn't very populated and was really poor and not very built up industrially so not many roads, stores, hotels, etc... hope that helps
I have been to Corsica many times. You should visit Calvi, go to Ajaccio, Bonifacio. You are going to love it. the weather is always really warm and a bit windy and the sea green.
