To delete from the Google toolbar: Click the Google button (left of search box)>Clear Search History. Other Answer

Try putting your mouse over the sites (don't click) and press delete (not backspace).
i am using mcafee quickclean for this purpose
go to tools, internet options then content click on auto complete.
