Get a new driver for you sound card.

u should be able to download a new driver for it from the website of the brand of your computer. You should also have a disk that has the drivers for your computer.
re-installing audio drivers should solve the problem. try using the CD which came with your audio card (or with your motherboard, if the sound card is integrated into it).
