the austrian water from the taps is one of the safest, cleanest and purest in the whole world. it comes straight from the alps and is the water that is sold as mineral water worldwide. so have no fear, you'll actually be able to taste the freshness of it when you drink it. no need to boil/filter, etc!

Austrians are pretty clean people so my guess is yes
it definitely is. Tap water in countries including Austria, Germany and Switzerland (among others in Europe) is 100% safe and actually can be better in quality as bottled water sometimes. So no worries about that.
