If you've got the cash, why not get an ibook, but don't go into debt for technology. The ibook will be superceded before you've paid for it.
If you want to work at home, get a USB pen drive and a cheap home pc, or recycled office kit. This are fine for most tasks. What's more the you can upgrade in a year or two with the money saved on the first purchase

no if that is for usage then get a cheap laptop from pcworld or dell for 400 it is good and easy to use plus the talk talk boradband is free so work it out - why an ibook ? or get a walk and talk web phone you can go on line with this and use it as a phone - i would still get laptop though - there are refurbished ones on ebay - or any store if you prefer
