well be visiting niagra falls soon the canadian side ..where should i stay and do?

By creationIf you can afford it, stay at a hotel where you have a falls view. It's GORGEOUS!
Here are some general places to check out:

a) Hershey's Factory

b) Nightmares Fear Factory - best haunted house ever. The rest of them suck in Niagara Falls.

c) Visit this awesome fudge/candy place right by the Rainbow bridge.

g) If you have kids - Marineland

h) Butterfly Conservatory

If you want to walk, be sure to sure to drop off your vehicle and ride one of the tourist buses (you pay for the whole day and can hop on and off buses where you'd like to go).

A lot of great things are on or near Clifton Hill. Make sure to try out the Rainforest Cafe. It's a GREAT experience for lunch or supper.

Check out Clifton Hill it's on the Canadian side. Lots of fun things to do.
good question i was there a month ago...try the ripleys musuem its awesome, and ride the maid of the mist, its a ferry ride almost into the falls themselves...its beautiful...hotels....try the sheridian....
ME too!!!!! in aug, my friend is getting married up there, we are going on the jet boat tours, marine land, and a safari drive, plus shopping and seeing the falls and we're also goin on the maid of the mist! I can't wait! only 2 weeks left!
Niagara Falls is beautiful. You will love it.

Carriage ride around the falls at the time the fireworks go off -- very romantic.

Take walking tours of both the American and Canadian Falls. Ride the Maid of the Mist. Visit the Cave of the Winds. See the Aerospace museum.

And don't forget the Casinos!
Was there on Monday....do the Maid of the Mist....by far one of the coolest things (really it was!!). Stay at any of the hotels that are there along the river. And I'd do the Gondola ride over the Whirlpool Rapids.
Don't go the US side (I live in the US, and I don't recommend it!!)
Check out Hotel prices on expedia.ca
Things to see and do:
Go up the skylon tower
Cliffton Hill is a lot of fun
Of course visit the falls and go on the maid of the mist
Journey under the falls

Also you can go across the whirlpool in a jet boat or wire car.

If over 19:
Visit the Casino
Go on a wine tour
Definately go on the maid of the mist, if not on the boat then try the tour that takes you down behind the falls, its awesome. Also, if you have the money, there is a restaurant in a large tower that revolves around, but I don't know what it's called, try that. There is also a wax museum but I'm not sure which side its on.
We stayed at the Marriott and had a beautiful view and a great time. You can go behind the falls, go on the "Maid of the Mist," go on the "Whirlpool Jet Tours," go on the "Whirlpool Aero Car" over the whirlpool. There's a lot to do. Stay away from the downtown tourist traps like Ripleys or Marvel Comics, and the Casinos, they will cut into your wallet and take away from the joy of being near one of the great natural wonders. Buy your souveniers at Walmart or Kmart in Buffalo to save major dinero. Have fun.
Brock Plaza Hotel! It's isa on the main strip Over looks the falls the Hershey Factctory is next door, People like Marilynn Monroe, Walt Disney and Royalty have stayed there! And It isn't to pricey!
the cananda side is a tourst trap....take a trip to NY side and see it close up
I grew up in Niagara falls, take it from me, if you can, stay somewhere outside of the city of Niagara Falls. The Falls itself is beautiful, the city is overgrown, overpriced and kinda gross. The towns around it however, are beautiful. Niagara on the Lake is one of Canada's most beauitful towns, no frachised stores are allowed in the town and it is full of wineries and old buildings. Check out queenston heights, it's a big park with a huge lookout towere that was used in the war of 1812. The niagara gorge has some great hiking. There is also a lots of great wineries in the towns of Vineland and Jordan if you are into that.
If you are however interested in wax museums and cheap gift shops, the Falls is just the place.
Have fun
